Overview of RTI
The Right to Information Act 2005 sets out the practical regime of Right to Information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of public authorities, in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority.
As a Public Authority, Umargam Nagarpalika is committed to providing information to the citizens in accordance with the provisions of the RTI Act. Citizens can apply for information related to urban development, public works, sanitation, revenue, and other municipal functions.
Statutory Time Limits
- General Response: 30 Days from date of receipt
- Life or Liberty: 48 Hours
- Transfer of Application: 5 Days

How to Apply
Draft your Application
Write your request clearly in Gujarati, Hindi, or English. Be specific about the documents or info needed.
Attach Application Fee
Payment of ₹ 20/- through RTI Stamp (available at post office), Demand Draft, or Cash at the cash counter.
Submit to PIO
Submit personally or via Registered Post at Umargam Nagarpalika office.
Acknowledgement
Ensure you receive a dated receipt or acknowledgement for your application.
